Proposals due February 15, 2007
The 5th Annual Regional eLearning 2.0 Conference (formerly NEWUG) will be hosted by Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA on Thursday, March 29, 2007.
eLearning is evolving rapidly and advancing to the next level, version 2.0. New technologies (e.g., blogs, wikis, podcasts, Second Life), learning management system (LMS) evolution, escalating student expectations, institutional vision and new services are all stimulating this change. While exciting, this advancement to eLearning 2.0 poses many new challenges.
The eLearning 2.0 Conference will provide a venue to learn from what others are doing and to discuss ways of accessing the next level of technology integration in the eLearning landscape.
What new strategies did we develop? How has all of this influenced our thinking and our pedagogical constructs? What are some of the new best practices? How can we evaluate student performance in innovative ways? How can innovation and creativity enhance student learning? Most importantly, how can all of us facilitate meaningful engagement in our teaching and learning settings?
Plan to join your colleagues at this exciting Conference as we move toward eLearning 2.0 together.
Keynote Speaker: Susan Patrick - named the President and Chief Executive Officer of the North American Council for Online Learning (NACOL) in September 2005.
Ms. Patrick is the former Director of the Office of Educational Technology at the U.S. Department of Education. [More on Susan Patrick]
