College Laptop
Program
In support of its curriculum, the Colleges
of Commerce and Finance, Engineering, Nursing, and a number
of Graduate Programs issue a specially-configured notebook
computer
to students. The state of the art DELL laptops include
the latest software suite and built in wireless capabilities.
Computer Purchase Program
While all colleges do not require their students
to have a computer, it may be convenient for a student
to own a computer. To that end, the Office for UNiversity
Information Technology (UNIT), through the Computer Purchase
Program, offers a choice of two laptops from Dell for purchase
by any student. Recommended hardware and software configurations
provide each student with everything they need. Our premier
website, provided by Dell, allows students to customize
and purchase the hardware and software configurations,
including increasing memory, hard drive space, etc. On-campus
warranty repair service is available at the Computer Support
Center (CSC), which is centrally located on campus to service
the students' computing needs.
On-Site Dell Service Center
The Computer Support Center at Villanova
University is a certified Dell Service Center for computers
purchased through the Villanova Premier Dell website for
students. The CSC maintains a full time, Dell-certified
technician for warranty and non-warranty repairs and stocks
many parts to help ensure a quick turnaround time for computers
that require service. If factory depot service is required,
CSC will place the service call and handle the packaging
and shipping of the unit.
