PC Refresh Training Documentation

If you are unable to attend a PC Refresh Training session this summer, please take a moment to look at the documentation files below. They should help you familiarize yourself with the new software programs and upgrades on your new PC.

To download one PC Refresh documentation file at a time

  1. Click on any of the links below to open the Adobe PDF file.

  2. When the file opens in Adobe, click File, Save as...

  3. Select a location to save the files (Desktop or My Documents).

  4. To create a folder within the Desktop or My Documents to store your documentation files, click the Create New Folder button at the top of the Save in... window. Type the new folder name, hit Enter on your keyboard, then click Open to open your new folder.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Do this with each file you want to save (no need to create the new folder more than once, though).

To download all PC Refresh documentation files at once

  1. Click the All PC Refresh documentation files (zip file) link below.

  2. Click Open when asked Do you want to open or save this file?

  3. When the window opens, click Extract All Files on the left.

  4. When the Compressed Folders Extraction Wizard appears, click Next.

  5. Click Browse.

  6. Select a location to save the files (Desktop or My Documents).

  7. To create a folder within the Desktop or My Documents to store your documentation files, click the Make New Folder button at the bottom of the window. Type the new folder name and hit Enter on your keyboard.

  8. Make sure your new folder is highlighted.

  9. Click OK.

  10. Click Next. You will see the files being extracted.

  11. Click Finish.

  12. The folder or location where the files have been extracted will open up and you will see your new files. You can double-click on each file now to open, read and print (if necessary) them.

  13. To open these files later, close or minimize everything and go to your Desktop. If the files are there, double-click each one to open and read or print the file.

  14. If the files are in your My Documents folder, double-click your My Documents icon on the Desktop and locate the files or the new folder where you placed the files. Then double-click each one individually.
